Printing Definitions

4/0: Printed in full color on one side, blank on the opposite side.

4/4: Printed in full color on both sides.

Bleeds: Printing that goes beyond the edge of where the sheet will be trimmed. Artwork, backgrounds, and/or borders will extend beyond the size of the printed document and be trimmed to size post printing.

Static: The information displayed on the document, including graphics and text will not change from one order to the next.

Variable: Elements of the item such as text, graphics and images may be changed from one printed piece to the next.

Variable Print on Demand: Item is priced by quantity purchased and will be printed for a charge after customization then shipped. Elements of the item such as text, graphics and images may be changed from one printed piece to the next. Examples of this process are changing the contact information and photo on a brochure or changing the hours of operation and dates on a sign for a specific holiday closure. The item will be printed when ordered, then shipped.

Variable Download: Item is not priced and can be downloaded in PDF form after customization is complete to be printed on a localized printed or stored as a file. Elements of the item such as text, graphics and images may be changed from one printed piece to the next. Examples of this process are changing the contact information and photo in a brochure or changing the hours of operation and dates on a sign for a specific holiday closure. 
 
Static Print on Demand: Printed in static form. Item is priced by quantity purchased and billed when ordered. Print on demand (or POD) is an order fulfillment method where items are printed as soon as an order is made, often with specified quantities for ordering. No inventory is held for items for this type.

Static Download: Printed in static form. Item is not priced and can be downloaded in PDF form on a localized print or stored as a file.

Inventory: Printed in static form. The item will show a price of $0.00, since the item is priced in bulk and billed to the customer outside of the MOS order.  The item is printed in bulk, then orders are shipped from an existing inventory. The stock quantity of the item is tracked, and replenishment of the stock will be ordered outside of the MOS order system.
